Who We Are

Jaquest Artificial Eye Centre (JAEC) was started in Chennai by Ocularist Jaya Vasanthalin who pursued his career as clinical Optometrist and Ocularist since 2012. He commenced his training for Ocularistry at LV Prasad Eye Institute publishing research papers on Artificial Eye and his works were greatly appreciated and accepted by Doctors and patients around different nations.

He decided to benefit the people of Chennai by starting a artificial eye centre and this has made a lot of positive impact in the lives of people at chennai, were people are found to be more than willing to avail this world class quality service for artificial eye at a very reasonable cost for the quality that lasts long.

We at Jaquest Artificial Eye Centre are experienced in fitting Prosthesis for any age groups and this is been done as a complete non-surgical process ensuring convenience for the patient and accuracy at the outcome of fabricating life-like artificial eyes.

Services We Do

Customized Artificial Eyes

Unlike Readymade eyes, customized artificial eyes are tailored perfectly by having normal eye as reference. Even Iris color (black portion of eye) tiny blood vessels, color of Sclera (white portion of Eye) will be replicated in Artificial eye without touching or doing nothing with Normal Eye.

Conformers

Conformers are thin plastic material for expanding the shrunken eye, which will be retained in certain socket abnormalities temporarily, prior to fitting Artificial eye. This is not applicable for all sockets, for conditions related to socket contracture.

Polishing & check up for Artificial Eyes

Polishing an artificial eye is important as it helps in removing hard protein deposits and enhance the shine of artificial eye. This is done professionally by your Ocularist and and the eye health will also be checked at this periodic routine check up.

Paediatric customised Artificial Eyes

These shells are customised for new borns and kids who have lost an eye due to an eye disease like Retinoblastoma,Ocular Injuries, congenital problems in development of the eye.

Our Special Services

Pressure Conformers

These category of conformers fitted temporarily for sockets that doesn’t retain an ocular prosthesis inside, rather popping out of the socket almost all the time. For managing this, a conformer with pressure will be fitted inside the socket by your Ocularist till the groove or fornix gets formed that can retain an ocular prosthesis.

Socket expansion with custom Conformers

These are special conformers which are customised that expands the socket that is shrunken due to various developmental problems.

Orbital prosthesis

Refers to the fabrication of eye and its adnexa including skin, eyelids and its associated structures which are made non-surgically using a specialised silicone material.

Nose Prosthesis

Nose Prosthesis is a Cranio facial prosthesis for patients who have lost their nose in an injury or due to a mishaps and this is made non-surgically using a specialised silicone material.

Finger Prosthesis

This is made non-surgically using a specialised silicone material which provides a life-like fingers for patients who have lost at any illness or mishaps.

Ear Prosthesis

For patients who have lost the ear, life-like ear will be fixed with a specialised silicone material to cover up the cosmetic blemish.
